My name is Xin (she/her) (pronounced "shin"). I have spent the last 15 years working in the nonprofit sector.

I began my career in philanthropy, first at a private foundation and then at a rapid response fund. Ten years ago, I made the transition from programmatic grantmaking to frontline fundraising, where I’ve since moved resources for social justice movements ranging from LGBTQ+ advocacy to immigrant justice to harm reduction to workers rights.

Fundraising is organizing. I believe movement-led philanthropy and donor-of-color activism support the revolutionary transfer of power necessary for social and racial justice movements. Given the inherent power dynamics of our sector, you deserve holistic support and intentional community as you move resources.
